Without the help of current volunteers the Lex Specialty Clinic would not be able to do what it does to serve clients in the local communities. We know that you are the hands and feet of Christ reaching men and women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy or other sexual health concerns.

Volunteer Positions
Here are some of the many ways you can help:
Male & Female: Trained advocates meet with clients and provide peer counseling regarding pregnancy, abortion and alternatives, prenatal development, emotional and spiritual support and Earn While You Learn on a weekly basis.
Required Training: 30-40 hour CareNet training, several sessions on the job, and AACC certification.
We utilize volunteer nurses to provide pregnancy testing, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, and nurse education to clients. Some nurses are selected to be trained in limited OB ultrasound.

Would keep track of baby items needed for store. Keep store neat and organized. Set-up inventory system and keep track of inventory. Make up baby bags for new clients, and layettes for babies.
Assist with office tasks such as filing, making copies, assembling client packets, newsletter preparation, mailings, stocking resources, keep all data base files updated with current information such as phone numbers, addresses, e-mail, etc.
This person would assist in writing, and editing the quarterly newsletter put out by the center. Needs to be proficient in Microsoft Publisher for desktop publishing.
Would be knowledgeable in general building maintenance, and handy man projects.
Come into the center weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly for deeper cleaning—thorough vacuuming, cleaning bathroom, dusting, windows, etc.
This person would be responsible for training office volunteers, assign projects as needed by staff, assist in communications from staff, assist with volunteer appreciation and on-going training.
Work with Lex Specialty Clinic and home church in building a positive relationship with church and congregation by means of keeping church updated with our programs, goals, and educating them on the issue of life affirming choices we promote as a viable choice for women. Also, raising awareness of the financial support needed to run the center and our programs and promoting different fundraising opportunities the church body can participate in.
This person would be responsible with working out any computer glitches the center comes across. We are pretty ignorant, but know enough to be very dangerous. Help!
Assist with video production, website design, photography, and designing printed materials. We could really use help with the updating, maintenance, and posting of our donor website!
If you love social media and understand it well, we definitely need you! Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, SnapChat, Instagram, etc. Help us reach our target market!
This person would be available to do research on various projects, and topical subject matter relating to the center’s services. An example of this would be researching current STD stats, abortion stats, pregnancy rate stats, etc. Needs to have good internet skills and love digging in to a topic!
Join our amazing Walk for Life team each year! We plan and prepare for our annual Walk for Life event held each May. There are a variety of job available on this planning team. If you like teamwork and planning events, come join us!
Join our fabulous Vision Dinner team each year. We plan and put on an annual fundraising dinner each October (now in several locations!). These events take many months to plan and execute. If you like things like wedding planning, decorating, database management, you will love working on this event! Join our fun team!
Assist where needed with parades or help cover information tables at community events.
Partner with Lex Specialty Clinic to help pray and provide material items for a client in the parenting program.
